How Ad Coverage is calculated
Ad Coverage represents the proportion of results containing at least one ad within the current analysis. The calculation is:Ad Coverage = Results containing at least one ad ÷ Total resultsThe metric is expressed as a percentage (%). The denominator always corresponds to the current analysis scope. If you apply filters such as engines, date ranges, themes or topics, the total number of results is recalculated accordingly and Ad Coverage is updated automatically.
Example If your filtered analysis contains 200 results and 40 of them contain at least one ad, Ad Coverage is 20%.
How to read this KPI
A higher Ad Coverage means advertising appears across a larger proportion of the AI results you track. It measures advertising prevalence, not advertising volume. A result containing one ad and a result containing several ads both count as results containing advertising. Ad Coverage is therefore useful for comparing how monetized different engines, periods or parts of your prompt territory are.How this KPI fits with other signals
