# Creator Location

Creator Location shows **where the creators cited by AI engines are based**. Use it to find influential creators in a given market and build local partnerships.

## About location data

A creator's location is the **country they set on their YouTube channel** **configuration.** Share of Model gets it from YouTube. Some things to keep in mind:

* Creators choose their own country, and they may not update it if they move.
* A channel's country doesn't always match its audience's country. A creator based in one country can mostly speak to viewers in another.
* Some creators don't set a country. They still appear in the creator list, but not on the map. A note below the map tells you how many creators this applies to (for example, *"3 of 33 creators have no mappable channel country and aren't shown on the map"*).

## Explore the map

1. Open **Integrations › YouTube Creator Partnerships** and go to the **Creator Location** tab.
2. Set your filters (period, AI engines, projects, brands, categories). The map and the list update every time you change a filter.
3. Countries with at least one cited creator are highlighted on the map.
4. Click a country to see only the creators based there. The label at the top left of the map and the list title show the country you selected.
5. Use **+** and **−** to zoom in and out, and the **reset** button to go back to the worldwide view.

> **Tip:** For a local campaign, pick the country first, then look at the top creators in the list. These are the local voices AI engines already trust in your category.

## Read the Top creators list

The panel next to the map ranks the creators for the area you selected (**Worldwide** by default).

| Column | What it shows |
| :- | :- |
| **Rank** | The creator's position in the selected area |
| **Shortlist** | A bookmark icon. A filled orange bookmark means the creator is on your shortlist |
| **Creator** | Channel name and avatar. Click it to open the creator's profile |
| **Influence Score** | The creator's share of the YouTube citations that match your filters |

The total number of creators is shown below the list. Use the page numbers to see more.

## Shortlist and export

* **Shortlist a creator:** click the bookmark icon. Shortlisted creators appear in the **Partnership Briefs** tab, where you can **<u>create a brief</u>** for them.
* **Export CSV:** download the list for the selected area. The export includes only the creators that match your current filters.

## FAQ

**Why isn't a creator shown on the map?** They haven't set a country on their YouTube channel. They still appear in the list when you view Worldwide.

**Is the location where the creator's audience lives?** No. It's the country the creator set on their channel. Their audience can be somewhere else.

**Does the Influence Score change when I select a country?** The ranking only includes creators based in that country. Each creator's Influence Score is still calculated against all the citations that match your filters.

**Can I filter by more than one country?** Not yet. Select one country at a time, or use Worldwide to see every creator.
